Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This notice explains how the VS Advocacia website uses cookies and similar technologies and how you can control your choices. It supplements our Privacy Policy. This English version is provided for convenience; if it differs from the Portuguese version, the Portuguese text governs.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They help the site work and can remember your choices. First-party cookies are set by this site; third-party cookies are set by other companies' services embedded in its pages.
2. How we ask for your consent
On your first visit, a notice shows three buttons with equal prominence:
- Accept: allows all cookie categories in use;
- Decline: keeps essential cookies only;
- Customize: lets you choose, category by category, what you allow.
No non-essential cookie is set before you make a choice. Declining does not prevent you from using the site: you can still browse and contact us by email or WhatsApp.
3. Cookie categories
- Essential (always on): needed for the site to work and not subject to consent. These are first-party cookies:
vs_consent, which stores your cookie choice for 12 months, andvs_lang, which remembers the language you chose (Portuguese, English or Spanish) for your next visit. - Scheduling (off until you allow it): loads the consultation booking calendar operated by Calendly Inc. Until you allow this category, the calendar does not load and no data is sent to Calendly. Once you allow it, Calendly may set its own cookies and log your device's IP address under its own privacy policy.
- Statistics (off; not in use): the site currently has no statistics or audience-analytics tools installed. If any are enabled in the future, they will run only with your prior consent, and this notice will be updated.
4. Other third-party services
- WhatsApp: WhatsApp links (wa.me) do not set cookies on this site. When you click one, you are taken to WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms, Inc., which applies its own cookie and privacy rules.
- Fonts: the site's fonts are hosted on its own server; there are no calls to Google Fonts.
- Google reviews: these are displayed as static text, with no Google scripts or cookies.
5. How to change or withdraw your choice
You can review or withdraw your consent at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you delete the vs_consent cookie, the cookie notice will appear again; if you block vs_lang, the site may not remember your language.
6. Changes and questions
We may update this notice when the website changes. Questions about cookies can be sent to contato@viniciossantos.com.
